-Watching: the new Korean reality show, "Roommate." Anyone else getting hooked on it? And discovering Korean restaurant recommendations through YouTube.
-Eating: these delicious scallion pancakes from Trader Joe's. Dip them in some soy sauce and they make a great little snack or appetizer. I also found these Jeju Dried Mandarin Orange Slices which are pretty good! Trader Joe's for the win!
-Drinking: yerba mate and lots of water
-Using: a new skin care regimen
-Recently: been admiring the desert's beauty. I'm going to miss it here when I move.
-Wearing: a lot of polka dots and pastel nail polish colors lately
-Listening: to Neon Bunny's "It's You." This song is right up my alley and has been added to my summer jams playlist. Discovered this soothing song thanks to Eat Your Kimchi.
-Trying: to get rid of all my stuff and minimize, although, I feel like I've been trying this for years.
-Purchased: a GoPro Hero 3+ camera. Eeek! Can't wait to start using it!
-Working: and finishing up my very first zine, yay! More details to come soon.
What are you currently reading? I'm always on the lookout for new books, so any of your recommendations will of course be very welcomed.
Have you read "The Storied Life of AJ Fikry"? It's so great!
ReplyDeleteI just looked it up, and it sounds great! I'm going to stop by the bookstore this weekend to pick it up. Thank you so much for your recommendation! I appreciate it!
DeleteI just finished "Make Art, Make Money", a case study about how Jim Henson was able to stay true to his artistic vision, make quality products and still make money. It was a really interesting read that didn't feel like a slimeball "this is how to make a million dollars" business book.
ReplyDeleteOooh, sounds very interesting and something I could definitely benefit from! *added to the list* Thank you, thank you!
DeleteThe Neon Bunny song sounds so soothing, just the thing I need for work :)
ReplyDeleteI have not read anything lately that's worthy to recommend, sometimes I think most books are over hyped because when I actually read it, it leaves me disappointed.
I've felt that way before too, so now I make sure to read lots of reviews before wasting precious time on a book that will not resonate with me. The last good book that was recommended to me was "The Alchemist." Have you read it? I'm sure you won't be disappointed. It's still my all time current favorite.

That's good. Gotta stay hydrated! ;)
DeleteOne of my favorite books of all times has been Brandwashed by Martin Lindstrom. Lindstrom talks about how brands deceive consumers into purchasing products, and it truly isn't a boring read! Extremely eye opening :)

Thank you, Emily! I'll have to look into this book. Seems like it would certainly grab my attention being that I'm sure I'm one of the millions of consumers brainwashed. I can be easily persuaded when it comes to pretty things and with the right marketing ;)
Deleteooh how is roommate? i haven't watched a k-drama in awhile but have been wanting to get back into them. let me know if you like it!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'll let you know. I'll be catching up on the recent episodes this week.
