Outgoing snail mail

With the recent start of summer, work has finally started to dwindle down. The snowbirds here in Arizona have pretty much all left, and locals are now starting to hide out in their homes due to the hot weather. This downtime has left me with more time to respond back to (way overdue) letters.

I swear, I've been the worst pen pal lately as I'm not so prompt on my responses. Thank you, though, for those that have been so patient with me! It is truly, truly appreciated! This whole week I made sure to sit down right after dinner and dedicate time on putting together outgoing packages. I hope they all arrive safely!

Pen pals, how cool! The last time I had a pen pal was when I was in second grade, and that was mandatory. May I ask how many pen pals you have? Do you know all of them in person as well, or have they always been pen pals? :D

    1. Hi Airi! As far as pen pals go (people I write lengthy letters to on a regular basis), it's been narrowed down to about 3. I do more of mail swaps between friends now, and I have about 10 that I keep in touch with and do trades with. When I first started I had about 20, but some were just 1-timers, some had to focus back on to school, and the rest just got busy with everyday life, which is completely understandable.

All of my mail swap friends I met on Instagram, and most of them are living in other countries, so I haven't had the pleasure of meeting them in person. I have 3 that live here in the states, though, so if I have the opportunity to meet them, I'd totally love to! I enjoy one-on-one interactions way more than online/email/social media anyway. ;)

  4. Love those pen pal packs. How much Washi tape do you send someone? Wasn't sure what was a good amount for someone to use.

    1. There isn't really a set amount I go by, but typically I send 2-4 designs each at about a ft or so long.

  5. I adore your mail art eye! And your photographs! Do you just have some white table you photograph on? Haha. Are you on the postal society forum? I'd love to swap with you if you ever wanted a pal in Toronto ^•^

    1. Aww, thank you, Jesica! Yes, I use my craft table when I can (and when it's clean.) No, I haven't had a chance to sign up for the Postal Society yet. I'm currently in the process of moving, so once I settle down maybe we could do a swap then. ^_^

I'm so behind with my snail mails too. So it's going to take a little while since I will be able to send yours! Thanks for the patience! :)
